In the first of my “Recipe Of The Week” series where I show off healthy and delicious items and dishes (and in the future, some not so healthy!) that I make in my Blendtec.
I’ve started with one of my favourites and a staple of breakfasts for me – a Bran and Banana Smoothie Breakfast bowl, perfect to kick start your morning or for a post-workout snack!
You will need:
- 1 chopped banana (keep 4-5 slices back for decoration)
- 1 and a half cups of all-bran cereal
- 1 cup natural plain yogurt
- A dash of semi-skimmed milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 4-5 ice cubes (if desired)
How To Make This:
Blend for 1 minute on the smoothie setting in a Blendtec Blender, pour into a bowl and decorate with the remaining banana.
Smoothie bowls are becoming the next in thing, and this Bran and Banana Smoothie Bowl mix will often keep me going right through lunch, because it is so filling (although I do not advocate skipping meals, I always have something small to keep my energy levels up).
